Dr. Iorio performs SmartLipo as a short outpatient procedure using just local anesthesia.

How SmartLipo™ works:

SmartLipo is different than traditional liposuction. SmartLipo removes stubborn fat from small areas where traditional liposuction can’t, such as the face, chin and neck area, back, and knees. It is also great for areas of the body that were treated with traditional liposuction in the past. Not only does SmartLipo remove unwanted fat, but it tightens droopy skin for a tone and smooth appearance.

The SmartLipo laser releases a burst of energy that dissolves the fat but does not heat the skin excessively. The SmartLipo laser actually melts fat within the fat cells, making it easy to remove the liquefied fat with suctioning. Further, small areas of liquefied fat are absorbed by the body.

SmartLipo is an in-office procedure performed with the patient awake. This procedure by Dr. Iorio requires just local anesthesia. SmartLipo has a short downtime because there is less trauma, bleeding, and risk of infection than with other liposuction methods. Most patients return to work in just 1-2 days! Continued improvements of the overall skin appearance will be seen for up to three months, and results are permanent.
